Collaboration

In our most recent high profile project, VULA designed a unique kitchen in collaboration with Hamran. 

  We didn’t want it to appear as just another standard kitchen that engulfed the area. Instead, VULA aimed for a design that gives the impression of floating kitchen units seamlessly integrated into the environment. To achieve this effect, we angled the fronts of the kitchen units to provide a striking affect and tailored it to the generous space available.

The collaboration with Hamran meant that the kitchen not only optimised space, but also enhanced functionality. Instead of dealing with spills on the counter while preparing food, this design directs them to the floor, promoting cleanliness and ease of use.

The angled cabinet fronts created a visually appealing floating effect, offering a more open and spacious feel compared to chunky, rectangular cabinets. They provided a unique perspective and a subtle nod to the Viking boat aesthetic, in accordance with location of the project in Norway.
